Slow network performance on one computer

Slow network performance on one computer

Strange WinXP clock problem

I have it set up to synch every week like you said, but the problem is that by the end of the week, it is off by 30 minutes or so, so I would really liike to know what bent it out of whack. Battery replacement was the first thing I tried...no dice.

Strange WinXP clock problem

System clock was just fine. I set the time in the system clock, ran XP for about 10 mins, and it is off by 10 seconds.

WU "stuck" in SETI Driver's cache?

Sorry for the blated reply: How do I know which WU is causing trouble? I don't want to go around arbitrarily deleting my cache directories (I have my cache set at 30), so is there any way to tell what it is currently processing and what needs to be sent? Thanks, Chris

Please help a newb!

Does Windows XP setup recognize USB sticks? I know that most mobos can boot off of them, but XP Setup may not load the drivers for them that early. Still, if you give that a try, let us know how it turns out... I am curious.

Need suggestions for a cruncher

Is there some off-brand fan that will fit the stock Intel heat brick? Or do I have to go searching for that exact fan?

Thanks for the info guys... I will try running without the fan ... the 100% usage (via SETI) oughta be a decent stability test. I got a motherboard from work (no inventory number on it...what a pity :evil: ) I'll toss 64MB in (it will be running Win2k). Probably case-less as well :) Thanks...
