No you don't understand. This is an older 2Ghz with the 400fsb(100 in reality) not hte "C" version with the 800fsb. It's running the ram faster than the FSB. Not slower. It won't run at 1:1.v NO matter what I do it won't run 1:1. Single or dual channel mode it does that same. It keeps trying to...
Ok I have a problem that is killing me. I have a P4P800 and I'm running a 2Ghz P4 (400fsb version) I'm running PC2100 in it for now and just was fooling around with it. I poped open CPU-Z and noticed something odd. The motherboard is running the Ram at 3:4 ratio to the FSB. I set the FSB to...
I didn't make it back to the forum in time to see if anyone posted so I'll ask again. I have had 4 A7N8X bases boards and they all have the same funny memory problem. When I use say a stick of DDR400 with a 266fsb chip it won't post. I stick in some PC2100 go set the FSB manually (to 133 or...
ok this is a little issue I have had with all my A7N8X bases boards. Every time I use a DDR ram that is rated higher than the chip( like a 2100 with a 133fsb and say DDR 400 aka 200fsb) it's won't show the post. I stick in some PC2100 and it will post. then I save the bios settings and restart...
well now I?m a little confused..... I didn't think changing multipliers was possible with P4 chips...... but Shimmishim has down ..... 2.4c@3.5..... the 2.4C sporting a 12 multiplier? with out changing the multiplier that would put his fsb at about 292?????? So my next question is can this be...
So the 2.4c is a good OC'er... so can you change the multiplier? Cause if you use the C version with the 800fsb that doesn't leave much room for increasing the fsb.
Ok this is a two part question...... so first I was looking to oc a P4 and wanted to know what seems to be the best chip for OCing right now(best P4 that is)? the second part is what seems to be the best 865 board to OC?
Haaaaaaaaaaa crap! I just orderd one up from newegg...... I wish I had seen this first.... I might have sprung for a 2600..... so has the work around been discovered yet? There always seems to be something that can be done... :)
I read the article but it isn't mentioned anywhere if it supports the Opterons. I know it's aimed at the FX but it would be really nice if it supported the Opterons as well. I wish gigabyte would divulge that information.
I always look at the compnay who made hte board..MSI in your case. according to the latest bios that board supports the XP +2400 and the +2600 (266fsb) so I'd be blow away if the durons aren't compatible. That is Bios version 3.6 and is availible to download at www.msicomputer.com
in short I just wanted to know is the GA-K8NNXP-940 supported the Opterons as well as the Athlon 64fx. I know it's a 940 pin socket board but I wasn't sure if the bios supported the opterons. The website doesn't say but is heavily marketed towards the FX and not the Opterons. Does anyone know...
I plan on uses a Dell Switch. I can't seem to find any rackmount cases for Fiber Channels drives so I'll most likely end up using some Dell Power edges as well.
Ok I know this isn't exactly a networking questions but it's close. I'm looking to build a video storage system. I need it to be at least 6 Tb. in size, I need it to be expandable, and I need to be able to have at least 180Mb/sec write speed. SCSI was just no expandable and limited to the number...
