Valve Finally Announces new Half-Life Game, but...

As someone who has owned a Rift for about a year, it's about time a AAA game experience is coming to VR. The potential in VR is huge, but the lack of quality games after so long is bewildering. Hopefully enough people pick up headsets that there is more interest for producing VR games moving...

Blizzcon 2018

WoW classic is the thing I'm most excited with from Blizz atm (WC3 reforged custom games are a close second). I'm slightly disappointed about keeping the 16 debuff limit. They'd have to tune bosses around it, but they're already going to have to do that if we're starting off with 1.12 class...

How big is your gaming display?

I wanted at least 30 inches and 144 hz with gsync so I got the LG 32GK850G. It's 31.5 inch and 165 hz, and looks subjectively really good compared to my 10 year old dell wfp3007-hc

O/C'd 9700k frequency jumping

wow yep that was it. Turned avx off in prime 95 and now its solid at 5 ghz. Thank you sir

I'm overclocked to 5 ghz at 1.35 V, which HWmonitor/cpu-z confirm on boot, and I believe I set the power limits to 1000 watts. I don't seem to be throttling due to temperatures, yet when under load the processor goes to 4.8 ghz. I don't know what is going on here, but I imagine I missed a...

Maple Story 2?

I've got about 100 hours into it, max level with 4k gear score being my credentials. The leveling was bad even for an mmo, but got more enjoyable around level 35 due to boss difficulty ramping up and actually having to avoid damage and heal more in groups. The auction house/dungeons&raids/world...

G3258... anyone still running one? Overclocked?

Not sure if you've overclocked a G3258 recently but you may run into an issue where any overclock (even 100 mhz) wont let you get into windows, in which case you need to take ownership of this file: C:\Windows\System32\mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll and then delete it. This was a hassle I dealt...

z370/z390 motherboards with real heatsinks

I'm wondering if anyone has found some z370 motherboards that have real heatsinks with fins/heatpipes, not the flat cosmetic kind that I have so far found on 100% of the motherboards I've looked at.

Wiser to "invest" in G3258 (and OC) or G4400 for budget builds?

I bought a G3258 for a netflix box, intending to overclock it. Still haven't bothered since there is no reason to though.
