ok after more searching the teleblend will only do the 12.95 deal until your original contract with SR runs out, then it is 19.95/month which comes out to $239.40 /year... :/

Well sunrocket went down.. :( it seems like the teleblend is offering a $12.95 a month deal which comes out $155.40 a year and you can use your existing hardware... the 8x8 have a 199/yr deal... It seems like teleblend would be the thrifty call..experiences anyone? The cheapest I see the...

Hi Gain Antenna or Wireless Repeater!?

just get an aluminum light reflector (premade parabolic reflector) and position a wireless USB dongle at the focal point. aim it around a bit, and you should be golden (probably close to -12db gain). I saw a pic of people weather proofing the setup using baby bottles...I just use it inside. It...

Thanks for your pessimism magomago...I don't plan on selling the card any time soon... I am extremely proud to report that it is all systems go! (so far, still running tests...) It fired right up! Bill-I would do that, but since things are working as they are I'll just leave it alone...

Yup it looks like #1 in the first pic. A-Case Tantalum. well I got all the blocks and the loop installed and running, after another hour or two I'll wire it up, and we will see. (I'm thinking positive thoughts.)

New computer - please critique

I love the WD 160's I have 2, but both are the IDE version. They run very quiet and cool, very reliable, good choice, even with their 8mb cache. Why the samsung drive? I go with the NEC generic version, unless I want it to be quality, then I go with a SONY. Just my opinion..

well we will have to wait awhile for the verdict, the rig is all in pieces (upgrading to watercooling :) ) And that board is the the only one I have with a PCIe x16 slot.

ok guys, that was the hardest thing I have done in a year...I sure hope it works...how well do these things stand up to heat, it got stuck to the tip of the iron a couple of times...I ended up having to clamp it down with some tweezer holder things, and drop little teeny tiny pieces of solder...

I'm sitting here with a mangifying glass checking it out, the ceramic is still ok, and there is a glob of solder on one side so I can tell which way it goes, I manuvered it back into place and it fits like a puzzle, so I'm gonna grab my soldering iron with a needle tip, and see if I can get it...
