Thank you so much for the information, you're a gentleman & a scholar.
I have gotten some additional information from my client. Vegas Pro is mainly used for 1080p cut-scenes, for the games he is developing. I'm not sure he knew what "Large Composites" meant, so I doubt it is of his concern...
The more I read around the more I am getting discouraged. It seems maybe I am asking too much for a rig that can both game and render?
Most of the forum posts/data I find are saying that a $150 firepro card is gonna beat a $1000 consumer card in render times? But this is data from before the...
I have already checked this out. They are all workstation cards, which I am trying to avoid because of price and game performance.
I think I am pretty well settled on the 780ti, as it will perform fine in rendering and video editing. I'm just a little un-easy about only 3gb vram. What is...
I was recently asked to build a computer for my friends son. He wants a gaming box with a decent sized budget. So I had one similar to mine picked out, 780ti / i7-4770k etc. But then I got the curve ball, it will also be used 50% of the time to develop games on 3d studio max (lots of rendering)...
Updates
I have added (2) 12" cold cathodes to the case. One blue/top and one green/bottom. I also put in individually sleeved cable extensions. Night and day when I was done.
Defiantly doesn't push me one way or the other. Only 3 reviews and they are mixed.
Thank you very much for the link though, I didn't know this review website existed.
Anyone else have exp with them? They're apparently the only place in the world that carries this motherboard cable with...
Finally found a cable that would work for my Seasonic X850. But its from a website that I have never heard of. http://www.moddiy.com/products/Seasonic-X-Series-Modular-Power-Supply-PSU-24%252dPin-Single-Sleeved-Cables-%28Blue%7B47%7DBlack%29.html
Does anyone have any experience with this...
On my Seasonic X850 the MB cable is split on the PSU side. See picture below.
Am I gonna have trouble finding a multi-sleeved cable that works with my PSU? All the ones I'm finding don't look like they would plug into mine :(
I was debating on buying myself a nice set of these fancy cables that I see in high end custom rigs. The only 2 brands that I recognize are corsair and bitfenix alchemy's.
Anyone using these individually sleeved cables? How do you like them? Where did you buy yours?
Thanks
Thank you very much for breaking this down for me. I just spent 30 minutes drooling over that LG 34UM95 you're looking at. Really an amazing looking screen.
The "Snow Edition" of my case really makes the blue LED pop. The white just does a great job of reflecting/enhancing the blue. Where as my black version of the case absorbs the blue. The result with them side by side makes mine look dull. So now I'm debating adding aftermarket lighting to the...
