Okay, my final purchase, I think, is an LG Flatron 246WP-BN. 24 inches, 1920x1200 (but I can play games at 1680x1050 at 1:1 pixel mapping and it looks great and is not too small at all), P-MVA, no noticeable input lag (it's on average 22 ms I believe), 8 ms, scales everything I need accurately...

Thanks a lot for the help so far, guys. Okay, so I'm thinking of getting either a Gateway HD2200 or a Dell SP2208WFP. The Gateway HD2200's online manual http://support.gateway.com/s/M...s/Monitors/8512500.pdf describes the scaling options. They look weird. Looks like my only hope for 16:9...

Hey, would a Dell 2007WFP scale properly for Xbox 360 and PS3? I heard that there was a color banding problem, but in revisions they fixed it in Desktop mode. Can I use a 360 and PS3 on the 2007WFP in Desktop mode, and will it still scale properly?

Also, I hear that some people are having issues with blurry text on the Dell SP2208WFP? And one more thing... Dell's page for the monitor http://accessories.us.dell.com...dhs&cs=19&sku=320-6252 lists a 2 ms (grey to grey) response time. Hmmm.... does this monitor use RTC/overdrive, then?

Ohh. My Xbox 360 is an older one that doesn't have an HDMI port. But, I could try using a VGA to DVI adapter and thus plugging it into the monitor's DVI port... not sure if that would scale properly. An old ATI card of mine came with a DVI (analog one, I think) to VGA adapter. The pins are...
