Well, that makes two of us. That's exactly my point. It's not like AMD's typical "It will be great in the future when apps need this and that". Most mobile CPUs don't seem to be designed with here and now in mind.

High cpu temp on stock cooling 4790k

That stupid little cooler craps its pants when placed on a 4790k. I ran mine with the stock cooler for like a week until my H110 arrived and was getting the same results. Change the cooler, it's not meant for that kind of load. Or at least undervolt and underclock a bit.

On average, it's a bit lower than 300 watts. But yeah, it's good. It just stinks when compared to my other profile that's 1050MHz with -75mV. That's the efficient side of things. I'll probably use the 1200MHz one all winter, and switch back to the 1050MHz one when it's hot. again. PS ...

1.425V? Well, that can't be good. My 4790k sometimes boosts its voltage to 1.325V under heavy load and I crap my pants. If I ever saw 1.4+... I'd probably use a fire extinguisher or something. :P
