Thanks for the heads up on the codecs. Like I said VLC works for me. What I'm trying to understand is why my older rig, a Win 7-Win 10 upgrade can run Nero 16 Platinum without any hiccups but a clean install of Win 10 can't. Maybe it's just missing codecs in Win 10, or a graphics acceleration...

CPU Fan ???

DVD/CD Player doesn't read discs anymore - new build
