After too much research, worrying, being wishy-washy, and not seeing much change in the availability of boards; I decided the best choice was the Asus Sabertooth P67. Seems to have higher quality caps and hardware like the other high-end Asus boards. I don't have any extra PCI/PCIex cards so...
Sand the entire car down with 120 grit DA sander. Not necessary to go down to bare metal everywhere, just achieve a good even surface with good bite on it. Costs maybe $20 for the sanding pads.
Spray 2 coats of epoxy primer to seal the old paint and any bare metal. Then, if necessarry, 2...
Your better off sanding, priming and painting your ride if the paint is still good. If your existing primer or basecoat is cracking, that would be another story.
Then buy an inexpensive syphon or pressure blaster and using that on the gate. You probably want something with some tooth to...
Soda is much easier on thinner sheet metal and won't warp from the heat that larger grit media can give (sand, aluminum oxide). But, the heavier grit particles are far superior for taking off rust. My '54 Chevy pickup truck I am working on needed to get blasted due to the rust and old paint...
Maybe I don't understand Newegg's "Out Of Stock" vs "Deactivated" then. I assume "Out Of Stock" mean the SKU is out of stock, and more is coming. "Decactivated" to me usually means the item is being replaced by a newer item, and this SKU will not be coming back in it's current form.
Or...
Sure, invent the technology. Great. I hope they do.
But in order for everyone to use it, it must be....wait for it....A-F-F-O-R-D-A-B-L-E.
Design the best car in the world, and price it at $2.5mil, and 150 people will buy it. Build a average car for $15000 and millions will buy it...
Oh I completely agree. I wasn't soley basing my stability marks on the egg reviews. It is interesting to note when you see a batch of DOA's all the same week or two.
What I'm referring to more is when you read forums. And, of course, it's the same rule there; if you're posting to the net...
Stability is paramount for me. I run my machine 24/7 and remote into it frequently from offsite.
I cannot begin to express how ROCK SOLID my current setup has been since early 2006. My DFI LanParty NF4 socket 939 dual core 4200+ has only crashed or locked up a few times in over 5 years...
OK, I admit it, I'm posting like a newb. I'm officially behind the times, and darnit, I admit it. My last build was a nForce4 socket 939 dual core w/ XP and now I'm jumping into Windows 7 with my i2500k and Intel SSD.
What I want to know, is there a list of what I should and should not...
Buy a 2nd gen Trans Am or Camaro (70-81). The cars are still relatively cheap, parts are still cheap, and you can restore a bit of Americana while you're at it.
Shoot, you should be able to find these things EVERYWHERE in the deep south.
Why import, when you can DO domestic?!?
Why i4...
Wow, 5 years removed the the active PC shopping market seems like a world of a difference. Back then nvidia alway had the more mature stable drivers, and ATI was always playing catchup. Has it flip-flopped since then? Does AMD have the better driver support now?
So, it's official. I guess I suck because I am not longer l33t hax0r computer guy. I'm a father and a husband, and my computer time is limited to 11pm-1am when I can.
I login and most of the threads I read are people whining about "Wahhh Waah!!! My quad core, uber, uber, awesome video card...
