Remote Power Cycle - Linksys SOHO Router

Packetshaper and PS2 Online

The firewall is stateful, thus all outbound connections can be made. This shouldn't be a problem. I believe the user said he could connect and authenticate to the server but he couldn't join a room or game. Which ever you do when you login. Im not sure because I have never done it.

Packetshaper and PS2 Online

I have some students reporting PS2 Online not working properly. I was thinking this may be due to the lack of classification on the shaper. Has anyone classified PS2 Online? If so could you give me an example of how you did it. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like some or all the games...

XP Home - Does DHCP but nothing else

Yep it was the NIC. I threw an Intel in there and everything worked flawlessly. I was too lazy to try a dif. set of drivers to see if that fixed the problem with the other NIC. I just told her to hang onto it in case she needs to send it back. Thanks for the help TG.

How can i create my own web server

blstriker is right, as long as you keep them both patched you should be fine. I am not a server admin, but I work with them a lot. In my experience, I just see more Windows apps and services that get exploited than our Linux servers or associated apps. I guess from this I just tend to be more...

How can i create my own web server

You can use Apache on win2k or you can use IIS (which is built in to win2k). I personally wouldn't use IIS because of security reasons. However, I have heard IIS is easier to setup than Apache. I haven't set up many web servers so Im not much use here, I hope this helps.

Well the click of death from one of my HDs has claimed the RAID 0 array. I will have to pull it, reformat the existing, and start from scratch. This will delay my being in the server because it was my gaming machine :(

The greatest game of BF 1942 EVER!

In my experience and opinion, I think a lot of servers (Including EAs which I think are terrible) are set to host too many people. This game is extremely cpu intensive and a 32 person server requires at least a P4. A lot of the lag you get seems to be cpu lag and not network lag. Even though...

At this website they say draft beer will only last 20-30 days before it will lose its fresh taste and aroma. I don't know how good the source is, but they probably have a lot of exp. with kegs :)
