asus a7n8x revision check?

a quick question to those who owns this board, how do I find out which revision I have so I can flash the bios correctly? The asus utility doesn't tell which revision I have, and whenever I tried to download the new bios from their ftp, it always return it doesn't have the correct bios...

I know cisco is not for home usage, but I am determined to play around with it. So anyone with experience with this setup or know a site that contains info?

experience with cisco 2621 as cablem modem router?

Recently I stumbled upon a 2621, and am thinking of using it as my cable modem router. Does anyone have any experience using it as such? Links to website that contains any tutorial would be appreicated. I know it's kinda overkill, but might as well as give it a shot as I never played around...

DHCP, Yes...Ping, No? Please Help!

have you tried to ping to the machine from another machine? pinging the localhost doesn't mean anything, as it is just a loopback call. one more thing, in win9x you cannot have more than 5 adapters installed i believe, so check if you have more than that and delete unnecessary ones. hope this...

Need wireless setup for hotel

here's one recommendation that might make it easier on you and your friend to block out unwanted bandwidth hoggers, but would require some work and effort on your part. some AP does MAC address filtering, so what you can do is ask each customer for their wireless NIC MAC address, and manually...

WiFi: Signal there and good, packets transferring, but can't get on Internet

does your wireless nic pick up an ip from the AP? do an ipconfig and also ping the server to make sure connection indeed works(but then again you said you are getting good signals, but just to be on the safe side). one thing I find it odd is you mentioned you put up encryption, yet you can not...

thanks for the response. I have done some research for the cisco academy, however it seems my local college does not have one around, or at least the their website didn't mention anything about it. maybe I have to call them up to find it out. Secondly, I have looked into buying the sybex CCNA...
