Why use a software firewall in the first place when you have firewall in your router? If sysgate is giving you problems and your using a free version try Zonealarm or something.

havent had this problem... You applying it from windowsupdate.microsoft.com or downloaded? and if it was pirated he wouldnt be able to apply SP1... not with any common cdkey anyway

Um, they caps wasnt necessary... Sounds like a bad CD rather than anything wrong with your HDD, or perhaps cables are messed.

Yea for updating the P4C800 series use this program (ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/P4C800/AFUDOS.zip) Just make a boot disk and stick that along with the files included in the BIOS zip. If your like me and you didnt bother to buy a floppy drive for the new machine, then you can...

I havent had any problems with my board, USB or NIC, only thing i had was my soundcard was bad and was causing system reboots.. but after a new one Its run flawlessly for the most part anyway... I just got a problem trying to run AsusUpdate, when i went to open it, it slowed down my comp real...

I would get the latest WHQL drivers from the Asus site, I havent had any problems with mine and I have m y machine on a linksys router, using DMZ host and port forwarding everything works for me.

ATI has the best Image Quality hands down for 3D and they are just as good if not better than Nvidia on 2D, but ATI isnt the devil like Nvidia :)
