how can I use rarp to resolve an ip from a mac address?

If you have Cisco switches and know the MAC-address (you said you don't even know the subnet), try looking up the MAC in the CAM tables and trace it down that way. That's how we used to trace and bust users who were doing things they weren't supposed to at my last job.

Any CCIE's in the house?

I've heard that the CCIE Security is 1/2 routing, so I'm pursuing the normal one first. Then I will turn right around and get the security one. I don't have as much as some but I do have my CCNP, CCDP, and CCSP, and I'm about six months out on my first try at the CCIE lab. I have several...

gaaa! CCNP expires 4/02

Get the Cisco Press exam cerification guides for the BSCI and BCMSN for quick cramming on the exam topics. The CD with Boson questions is helpful as well. Also, I teach this stuff in the evenings if you have any technical questions. Good luck.

gaaa! CCNP expires 4/02

I recently recertified my CCNP under the new track. The test is big on IEEE standards (802.1Q, 802.1X, 802.1W, 802.1S) Everything is native-IOS and they took quite a bit of the CCIE written test information down to the CCNP level. BGP and IS-IS were big as were the new switching...
