[HardOCP] XFX 7950OC review with clock-for-clock comparo to 7970

This is quite clear when comparing with Cape Verde. The HD 7750 got like, 50%+ perf/shader or thereabouts than the HD 7950 (I chose those two because they've the same clock speed).

7850/7870 performance

Playing unscientifically with some numbers, using a 1280SPs Pitcairn @ 1GHz, I think it should be about 30% faster than Barts, what sounds quite reasonable. (Although up to 40~45% faster wouldn't be far etched, depending on the memory's clocks and at what point the GCN's shaders scaling goes...

HD5870 vs GTX480 two years later.

I just want to point that if you drop the "110% faster" bench, the average speed-up drops below 25%.

Some numbers: Let's shoot really high and say nVidia somehow manages to clock the memory to 7GHz (highest, according to Wikipedia), that puts them with about 85% of the bandwidth of the HD 7970, or HD 7970 got 17% more datarate. Seems odd to me. Manly when considering that: - At stock...
