    Gave up on the Antec Aria

    You might not agree with what Gravity is saying, but I can attest. The heat that comes out of the power supply is extremely warm and the Aria case definitely needs supplemental cooling -- period.     100% isopropyl alcohol would be recommended, or Goof-off (2 things recommended by the Arctic Silver website). Here is the link to that: removal instructions (and installation) I use 90+% and it works great. Hope that helps!

    Hmmm . . . how about cutting a hole right above the top vent to the PSU? It's kind of strange that there is one smack dab against the top panel. Real helpful! :laugh: That PSU gets hot!     Sweet! What size fan is that in the side panel? Also, did you have any trouble with melted plastic in between the metal? I seriously need to go buy a Dremel and control the heat in my Aria!

    Yes indeed! Try the Abit IS-12 (intel 865G chipset). It supports two firewire ports. Here is a link. Abit IS-12 I have the IS-10 and I like it. I think its temperature calibration is a little shifty, though. However, it fits well inside the Aria.
