Found the problem. It was the kingston ValueRam. Put some Crucial in it, worked fine.

I gotta co-worker here that says if the rumors are true and AMD does announce this new tactic (if it's not just a mistake), he's jumping ship and going over to INTEL

newegg is almost always cheaper than mwave, but mwave usually has more of a selection.

I just saw the link over at HardOCP and it doesn't look favorable for the future of unlocking AMD's chips. Has anyone else seen or heard of this problem? HardOCP.com

Which one should I buy?

Don'tknow about the other cards, but the com store that I work in uses the GigaByte TNT2 board for most of the new systems we build and they work great. For an all around card that can do a little gaming, but can also play DVD's and really has a good picture, these cards are it. Works with all...

What CD burning software to use?

Check Roxio's site.....I have an AOpen 24X10X40 that Roxio does not support yet. If the burner is supported, try the 5.02b patch(it works great, but take two is not supported). If the burner is not supported, stick with Nero 5.5.5.1 and XP patches

How do I transfer data from one hdd to another?

Try to find a version of Norton Ghost. Set up your hard drives....one on chan1 and the other on chan2 tell ghost to copy one drive to the other you're done

How do I remove the pesky MSN Messenger from my XP startup?

go to tools > folder options > view > show hidden files and folders. then go to //bootdrive//windows folder//system32 (ex. C:\winnt\system32) sysoc should be in there

XP Home or Pro edition?

pro...pro...pro...pro...pro...pro I have both and I consider Pro to be a must. Do you have any NT systems?? Will you ever use one?? Home will not connect to NT domains AT ALL. Big headache for and accounting firm I do business with. They have NT server and didn't ask me the difference...

do i need a floppy drive?

In fact, I read somewhere that the next gen of motherboard will not even have fdd connectors, Microsoft is trying to axe them as well
