Dell should releas e new firmware to solve some problem. Not uniformity and thay said to have the new firmware one must send back the monitor to them. So even if I want to try the panel uniformity lottery I will wait till they ship new firmware monitor at least.

Honestly in my life I almost never upgraded a PC. It always come out that I change the entire PC so I more interested in actual benefit than in future ones. Still thank you everyone for your suggestion. Seem in europe 5870 is unfindable...

I will try Windows 7 RC. Mainly my problem is that I use more programs in the same time and I notice a slowdown of the computer when doing different things. (for Ex. Premiere or Avid while working with Photoshop, etc). I know the main upgrade will be the processor but I will buy a full new PC...
