Vista USB issue

My wife has a relatively new Vaio laptop with Vista. A few months ago, the whole thing fell apart on her and she sent it back to get it fixed (the factory memory was bad, so they replaced it). Since then, any time she tries to use a USB device that she had not used prior to the warranty work...

The router channel isn't the problem. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the router. It's an extremely strong signal because it just goes through a floor and the router is ten feet from my laptop in a straight line. The router is not the issue. There was no client utility. This is a...

It was already enabled. This isn't a router configuration issue, the router works just fine, and none of my other wireless devices or laptops has a problem. It's only this computer.

This is really strange...I have a wireless network in my house, and whenever I am using this laptop and one of my neighbors' networks comes online. my laptop kicks me off my network to let me know that there are other networks available. Drives me nuts, because during peak hours, it can happen...

"5 male connector (4 Device) SCSI 3 Ultra Wide 68 Pin High Density (HD68) ribbon cable" That's what I have. SCSI3 and U160 are the same, right? So this is LVD by nature? The cable has 4 connectors in addition to the one that connects to the mobo.

OK, I bought a couple 15k 18.2gb Compaq SCSI drives (bf01863644) off eBay. I got an Adaptec 39160 card (card and drives are U160), a 68-pin ribbon cable and two adapters for the drives (drives are 80, everything else is 68 pin, so I got the adapters and installed them). Now I need to hook...
