Call of Duty Frame Rates

I haven't run the game yet (still waiting for some parts to arrive for my new rig) but I read the ATI 1000 Series reviews today, and was amazed at the crappy framerates listed for what are supposed to be high-end parts......here's hoping driver support will bump framerates to at least about 50...

Call of Duty Frame Rates

Am I the only one that is scared when looking at the frame rates for Call of Duty 2 Demo? I mean the 7800GTX, a card that hasnt been out a good three months, barely being able to reach 30 fps? I know cards are considered old when they leave the factory gate, but putting down fat $500 for a card...

Vista, Worth It?

vista wont be relled until end of next year, and beta builds arent really suited for everyday computing I think (haven't tested them myself, so they might be a bit better than I lead you to believe, but it won't beat XP at this point I figure)

What are some cases with excellent cooling?

Go witht he thermaltake Armor, you won't be disappointed. Three 120mm Fans (one intake, wo outtake) will make sure the case stays nice and cool along with perforated drive bays (which have dust covers behind em so your insides stay nice and clear)

SLI question

well, i hear different things regarding pricepoint. Some say it will cost between $150 and $300, others say between $200 and $250.....pretty expensive card whichever pricepoint it will be, but I think I definately want one :D

yea, I think PCI-bus has more than enough bandwith for it not to be a limitation. Remember that the PPU only does physics calculations, so it pretty much is a raw number cruncher. It won't be handling textures or anything of that kind swallowing heaps of bandwith. The raw data it sends to...

hehe....perhaps ill reconsider and save the money for the PhysX PPU when it comes out (and if it proves to be something worth having that is)

Anyone else excited about the new lineup?

man I can't wait, finally an lcd which promises to have the best of both worlds: accurate colour reproduction along with fast response times. I finally feel confident to take the jump and join the TFT bandwagon. That is, till some reviews confirm this will be a kick ass display Samsung 970P...

ye thats rather early, but it happens. Life expectancy could be anything form an hour to a week.....though i think one or two days might be your best bet

Link It's a dutch site De Asus PhysX zou met kerst in de winkel moeten liggen. Hoeveel deze echter moet gaan kosten is niet bekend. which translates to: The card should be available around Christmas. The exact price of the card has yet to be determined.

Well, it will be available around the holiday season, and here is the first pic :D PhysX PPU Really anxious to see the forst benches with a PPU. Supposedly HL2 will have some performance increase with the Novodex-API HL2 utilises.
