I read from some place (could be AMD site) that Toledo core running from 1.3 to 1.35V. My Epox 9NDA3J MB BIOS set the Toledo core to 1.35 to 1.4V so I go back in the Bios to lower the vcore to -0.01 (you can lower the vcore a bit lower). It definitely helps the temperature issue. Right now, my...
Anyone is using this CPU with Epox 9nDA3J mb? I have problem overclocking this mb with this CPU. It can't go higher than 240MHz FSB because the BIOS would not recognize my SATA drive. The AGP/PCI clock is locked at 66MHz. My older X64 was overclocked over 255MHz before with the same BIOS and it...
I would love to see the more scientific responses on how Vista performance relative against WinXP apple to apple comparison beside the typical one of how shiny Vista is. Is there any concrete write up of XP against Vista somewhere that I can look at?
Not for me ... but holding the DEL key down works.
How could a driver fix something when it's not even loaded yet during the 1st initial boot up to BIOS screen?
The solution to the above problem is holding the DEL key down when hitting the power switch and keep holding it down till you see the BIOS set up blue screen. Make sure your KB does flash the LEDs during booting up or change to one that does. This MB does have some problems with keyboard's...
I am helping my nephew to build a system with this mb just bought from Chiefvalue. Booting up is fine with the initial screen showing proper CPU, right amount of RAMs, HD, DVD etc but no keyboard responded to the F1 & Delete message. LED code is 7F meaning waiting for keyboard entries. Keyboard...
Depending on what you want to use newsreader for. If you plan to download binaries ONLY, nothing beats the free powergrab. If you want download and also the convenience of reading texts, Xnews is best but Xnews is pretty intimidating to people who likes to be intimidated. It's not that hard to...
Pantner,
I also found that CS doesn't work with WD drives but it does work with Maxtor drives.

Tell us how X64 OS works. I am considering to try it because I use many engineering applications in simulation.
And the MX Duo cordless keyboard and optical mouse also arrived today and works. I just finished one of the tough jobs today. And my machine now singing 2GB. Got to be a lucky day for me. It's time for Warcraft 3 and not being nailed by the enemy because my lousy cordless mouse moves with its...
I'll be damn. It was working at 166MHZ not at 1T but at 2T. But the most important clue it gave me is the 2T parameter is the one screwing up the party. And indeed, once I relaxed the timing to 2T, it also works fine at 200MHZ.
It seems to me for whatever reason, A64+ can't handle...
Interesting. I will do that at 166MHZ just to see if it works. Even though I have no inclination at all to use 2GB but I still want to see how Chinese MB makers implementing the American ways of the 80s by documenting something working while in fact it doesn't work at all.
I have tried to set up a 2GB memory with this MB unsuccessfully. I have (4) 512MB modules: (2) from Kingmax CL2.5 and (2) from Kingston Value Ram CL3.
1) I can mix (1) each module from 1 brand with another brand successfully.
2) I can run 2 modules either from slot 1 & 2 or slot 3 & 4. I...
