    I just wanted to say thanks for the help, I got an NV silencer, just installed it, and I'm idling at about 40C. My case ambient is down too. Taking off the stock sink, it appeared that the thermal grease had mostly spilled onto the side of the gpu. I think that may have been the problem.

    I'm using the Winfox program that Leadtek has, though I am reading the readout on the nvidia properties screen also.

    I have a Leadtek PX6600GT TDH extreme, and since the release 77.77 drivers, I have been idling at the same temperature of 55C, but my load temp goes to the 90s, and occassionally reaches 100C which is when I have the card alarm me. This happens in games like Painkiller and the FEAR demo...
