If someone offers to pay you more than what you are asking it is most likely a scam. Why would a buyer be willing to pay more than what you are asking for? Its a trick that they use to let your guard down. If its too good to be true then most likely it is.
I don't think that you will see significant gaming gains moving towards skylake. If you are looking to upgrade have you considered upgrading your GPU? I feel that may give you a greater performance boost in gaming than switching platforms.
Thanks for all your suggestions, I don't play that many demanding games and I think I will stick with the 960. Would the same features that the 950 has with moba games be available to the other gtx 900 line up via driver update or is that feature only specific to the 950?
What form factor are you looking at getting? The i7 is locked right? If you don't plan to overclock then I would suggest going for an H97 mobo since they are often <$100 brand new.
