Since I'd like to put full range speakers on my Z-5500 system, one of the problems that has been mentioned is the Z-550's built in crossover frequency of 120 ~ 150Hz. Because I don't fancy my sub playing my midrange, I was curious if there was any means to alter the crossover frequency- by...
Perfect, well as long as I shouldn't be expectng explosions, then I'm happy.
I suppose I'll start another thread about z-5500 crossover adjustment/hacking.
The z-5500 receiver can control individual volume levels for frot, side, and centre/sub. I believe my motherboard can do the same- it uses the realtek HD audio driver.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Would there be anyway to adjust the crossover frequency on the amp? Whether it's set in the receiver or the sub, and what alterations would need to be done?
Or is there a way to bypass it with software. I use the 6 CH direct, so is there anyway to set the...
It says not to swap the speaker- right on the product. But ever since I purchased the set (for $250 new) I've really been missing the sound I got from my 2.0 bookshelf speaker setup I had from before. The speakers aren't fantastic - they're taken from a SHARP stereo set. But they work well...
Tried looking for it just now, but didn't see anything specific. I searched 'digital audio thread' and only found one mention of it, under audio cables.
Thanks for the fast response! I'm just looking to spend as little money as possible, and make do with what I can. It won't be an authentic home theatre system- rather odds and ends to make it come together.
I've scrounged around the house, and have come up with a 1982 Nikko receiver which has...
I'm looking to set up a PC centric room, and finally take advantage of all that my hardware can do. My motherboard is an Asus P5W DH Deluxe, which came with 6 stereo jacks and a SPDIF out. This you can see here. Now, I am by no means an audio buff, so I'm probably going to say some things or use...
Nice catch on that sale- It'd have to ship to canada, but it looks like buy.com doesn't do international.
Oh, and thanks for the advice. As long as either are quality products, sould be a go. I can always return the one bought from the store.
I'm trying to compare two different memory cards, but specifications are sparse and reviews are non existent.
The Patriot Card boasts a class 6 rating- sustained 6 mb/s write speed. However, what I am looking for is read speed, and it's unclear if the class rating means read speed too. This...
Alright, so I've installed the latest version of gainward's expertool, the program I was using to overclock my 7900GT.
It lists my clock speeds
625MHz Core
900MHz Memory
1566MHz Shader
The memory clock seems low- and I looked on websites where it states the memory data rate is 1800MHz...
Alright, so I'm running the stress test, and I'm hoping that the 64C core temp that speedfan is reporting is not too low by 15C, otherwise I'm frying my chip without knowing it.
Prime 95 is only displaying information in worker thread 2, but my performance manager shows both cores maxed. Normal?
Is there any benefit to enabling the memory remap feture if I only have 2 gigs of ram? In my bios, the description of this feature says that it improves memory utilization. All I know that this feature does it lets the OS detect more than 3.2 GB of ram.
Thanks.
