Dude, did you watch the debate??
Kerry never went over his time by more than a few seconds.
Remember when Bush went so far past his 30-seconds that the moderator tried to signal for him to shut-up. If i recall, Bush yelled "[inaudible word] Just let me finish!" while pointing a finger at...
Sorry for the long delay before responding.
I agree with boomerang, it shouldnt matter. Promise specializes in RAID and disk controllers if that makes a difference to you. If you keep track of stripe sizes on the array, you can probably switch the arrays between controllers...
...umm dont...
Well its official. My Powerbook is messed up.
I just swapped out my 256MB Hynix Apple-OEM RAM for a Kingston module of twice the capacity. The kingston went right from the packaging form newegg.com into the laptop and it has exactly the same specs as the Hynix...even the same RAM slot...
I sent my powerbook out for repair 2 weeks ago. "After extensive testing we have determined that the faulty part is third party RAM....blah blah blah."
That implies they tested the RAM as well as the slot. And the ram was under 60 days old, so newegg took it back without questions. I...
I threw 512 MB of Transcend RAM into the PowerBook when i tried to upgrade the first time.
I sent that one back without even talking to Apple. It was terrible. The machine NEVER came out of standby. With the Kingston, It had trouble returning from sleep when it was on for a very long time or...
I would argue with you on the flouride bit. True, it is an added 'contaminant,' but for good reason. Consider this:
I lived in Brooklyn, NY for the first thirteen years of my life. I drank mostly filtered municipal tap water. New York City is known for putting flouride in their water...
Hello
This post is directed at Apple PowerBook G4 Aluminum owners only. If you are not among this select group: I thank you for your concern and willingness to help, but you need not read any more.

First, I am about to head out the post office to send back a stick of 512 mb ram...
YES!
That process is called distillation. It is used in chemistry labs and hospitals all over the world.
The problem is that distilled water is so pure that it is tasteless (or so i've been told). All water. whether it is from the tap, the ocean or a bottle, has a distinct taste...
How can you be so sure?? Perhaps roswell was an accident by some time travellors? Im not saying I believe the Roswell hype at all, but you cant be that sure. The reason being that anyone with a brain (here and now) can understand the dangers of time travel and its implications. So dont you...
Its all about liability. The chances that some bacteria could have found its way into a shipment of water are really not that low.
Bottled water is regulated by the FDA while municipal tap water is regulated by the EPA. Basically the EPA guidelines are MUCH MORE stringent. In fact thats...
I had a Netgear hub on my desk at work. The damn thing crashed all the time. When i told out IT guy, he just unplugged it and threw it in the trash. If they cant make a simple non-switching hub work, how can they be making wireless-G routers???
Maybe thats why Cisco boutght Linksys :-)
According to the Comcast Cable website, all Cisco uBR modems are "approved" for their network.
Based on that info, I bought a uBR904 that i saw on eBay for a fraction of is retail. So i get it and set everything up... nothing.
Everntually I had to go to radioshack and make myself an RJ-11...
It is true that the DD4 has gotten quieter since I made that post. The high-pitch noise has decreased so much that its difficult to distinguish the DD4 noise from my hard drives/psu at 5 feet. That single bearing definitely got worn in.
