Need help with new laptop, HP DV4T?

I customized it on HP's site actually. The integrated graphics should be more than sufficient for the usage profile of this notebook. Less weight/heat/power will actually be more useful to me than a dedicated card.

Need help with new laptop, HP DV4T?

I configured an HP DV4T, but I'm not sure if this is a good deal, ok deal, or a ripoff. Any opinions or thoughts on a different model. Specs I want for sure: Core 2 P series CPU, 14 inches, lighter the better, 4gb ram as cheap as I can get it... 844.99 Color Moonlight White edit...

Corsair XMS2 Ram problem with M2N-SLI

So after I built this thing I realized I was having some occasional stability problems with BSOD's and lockups. I ran Prime95 and saw that my computer would fail in an hour or so every single time. In order to get this ram to work I had to manually set the Dram voltage to 2.1 volts. I tried...

Very Unstable Computer

I just went to circuit city and picked up a 512mb DDR2 533mhz kingston ram stick. I'm trying this in my system now to see if I stilll have the same problems. If not I can be sure its the ram. Then its just a matter of the ram either being defective or not actually compatible :-/

memtest spit out an error after about 5 minutes. I've been having the prime95 not passing issue with both sticks in individually, so I'm assuming memtest would also fail with each in individiually. Does this mean that both sticks are bad or that the motherboard is bad

yes i installed both driver and patch. My ram is set at 2t, which is what the ram is supposed to run at. I can run stresscpu forever without any errors, and I can also run prime05 small fft's forever without errors it appears. This makes me think the CPU is probably fine, is that a fair...

Well this started off as just a few random reboots and it still doesn't interupt my daily use very much, but I decided to run some stability tests. Memtest 86 ran for 12 hours without an errors. Prime95, small fft's has run for almost 12 hours now without any errors. The Blend test somestimes...

i'm leaning towards everest being right because the task manager is at a steady 50-52% utilization. That doesn't explain the odd behavior of the AMD tool though, hmm

ok but I"m only running the one program, cpu burn in. How can I tell if its using one core or two? Amds power thing shows that it is using two, and everest says its using one. Who's right?
