FWIW, I ended up purchasing both of these items - the base level EVGA GTX 1660TI for $279 and the AOC Q3279VWFD8 for $250 - and have now installed and played around with them a little bit. The AOC display looks great! No dead pixels, great colors, and only some very minor IPS glow in the bottom...
