This is for the UCSD people that bother to read this thread. There is a UCSD surplus where UCSD sends all of its stuff if it's damaged/can't be used. I've gone twice and they have some interesting things (gurneys, slurpee machines, tons of office chairs) and they have computer equipment...

I suppose then this can be offerred to those who don't want an Amex or in addition to if you max out the price matching amount on Your Amex. Also, on FatWallet.com, they were talking about doing a double price match, one for amex blue and another for ZDRewards. Don't know how legal or ethical...

I saw this over on FatWallet.com. Apparently ZDNet offers a program called ZDRewards that will give you a low price gaurantee for 90 days. So if you find a lower price within 90 days they will refund you the difference. Also, they double the manufacturer warranty of a product up to one year...

So for those that receieved the monitor, does it seem like a pretty good deal for $340? I'm debating because I can get it for $260 (Amex pays shipping and I have $50 of flooz), but I just want to know what the quality is before I dive into it.

HP 500MHz Laptop for $699 & $729

I just called PC Liquidator and they said that there is no warranty on Laptops, they are sold as is. So...can anyone confirm if the original post, stating full manufacturer warranty, is correct?
