Seagate 1TB finally below $200 price mark (Retail box, no rebates)

I have the best buy seagate and the model number on the actual unit is ST31000340AS(ST310005N1A1AS-RK on the box) so asuming ST1000340AS-RK is a typo as I can't find this on segates website I would say they are the same drive.

calling all USB (thumb)drive owners! post your experiences

- AVB - 64MB - USB 1.1 - cheap plastic, the cap falls off if you turn it upside down so its already kinda loose where the usb port connects to the drive. - $19 frys - no, if you plan on actually keeping this on your keys :) - sandisk cruzer mini - 256MB - USB 2.0 - cheap plastic but its well...

Do all of the "Unbranded 1yr Warranty" Western Digital drives at Circuit City have 3yr warrantys w/ WD like mine does?

well i purchased 2 120 gb oem maxtor SATA drives from from a popular houston area vendor last week, they were listed as having a one year warranty on the web but a serial number lookup shows they have 3 year warranties. im thinking of taking back a 200 gb ide maxtor i have still unopend to frys...

do I really need a router for wireless?

can i just connect my cable modem into a wireless access point and use one pc to share the internet connection and the ap to share? files on multiple computers?

AMAZING toshiba laptop!!!

<< dell has a better deal on its inspiron 8200. you can get p4, geforce 4 for about 1800 after rebate. >> i can't configure one with similar specs for less than $2700, but the one in my basket does have a 64mb geforce 4 :) question: where is the ati option on the 8200 dell?
