AMD Ryzen 3000 Builders Thread

hi everyone, I am running a Ryzen 3900X (motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus) inside a be quiet! Dark Base 700 case. Stock cooler and stock fans. From the beginning, I noticed some weird things. Performance is fine (at least according to UserBenchmark). But idle temps are 55° to 60°C (!!)...

the Evolv X is not the prettiest case, I agree, but it seems to tick many boxes for me. I've been doing research for a new build for few weeks now, and the case is by far the most difficult to pick (followed by the motherboard) for the rest (RAM, CPU, PSU, GPU), it was way easier to decide...

does it? :( I thought it was well-liked by many reviewers. the P600S is obviously better since you can easily remove the front cover to reveal the mesh. but this can be done on the Evolve (it's just ugly) it seems higher-end compared to the P600S and I am anyway adding extra fans to the case...

I am looking at the Phanteks P600S, I like it but it appears like the Evolve X is actually even better (except for the front mesh)

Thanks, I'll add it to my shortlist! would you mind elaborating on what made it difficult? Officially, it's supposed to support 3x140mm in open layout. and did you try to install the H115i in the front?

I am now looking at the ASUS AMD AM4 ROG Strix X570-E Gaming which I can have for $300, it has USB-C for the front panel and is a bit higher end than my previous pick. And for the RAM, while I am considering a 2x16GB 3600 kit, I found a 2x32GB 3200 kit for a similar price. I'd sacrifice speed...

thanks :) I am still tweaking it, and will probably end up swapping some parts for higher-end ones, but I feel like the current build is already good enough, and I am way below my budget (was planning to spend 2'000$ to 3'000$ if required). budget is not an issue, I'll get a 750W or 850W PSU...
