My concern with this deal is the part of the rebate form that states -
"* If you received a Free Memory Upgrade with the purchase of this system, you are not eligible for the mail-in rebate."
Would a 'free' second hard drive be considered a "Free Memory Upgrade," voiding the rebate?

I got this controller as a free-after-rebate add-on to a Maxtor drive purchase. It's a Promise Ultra 100 with a Maxtor sticker on the BIOS. At least the one I got was/is. There's some info on modifying this to raid. So if you're willing to do the mod and flash...

Actually the reviews are much better than my quick search indicated, even when compared to the Nokia 445xPro. Still, this monitor is not flat (it is vertically flat) and is a 4 year old design, though that could mean it's better (?).
