interesting.... did you by any chance test the following:
1. ping response time with your router
2. same with the ISP gateway
3. same with DNS servers given by your ISP
4. name resolution (nslookup www.anandtech.com) while using the above servers after flushing the DNS as Jack suggested
?
you...
there are a few nice ways to hijack routers with uPnP... do you have wi-fi enabled, by any chance?
I would suggest to revert to FIXED forwarded ports and get a security policy in place, uPnP is not secure.
was that w7 home premium? I had an eSATA drive connected on a different controller when installing, it shouldn't even see it, but somehow decided to dump the mbr there... wasted a night putting everything in order
have a similar problem with a high-end optoma projector. found anything? I need the mini since the projector is set on the ceiling and I cannot afford routing additional cables to it :-(

interesting - apparently Sony had something similar due to the time format of their BIOS date. fixes with an update though (you need to have purchased your lappie from Japan, though).
local shop here has a cig lighter charger that gives ipaq/nokia/ipod/usb options with a set of adapters. why not just mount the gps on the cassette adapter (if you can use if in that position, that is) and power it neatly this way? you don't need it all the time and you can assemble the whole...
just my 2c - go back to the software supplier and ask for an updated version. the more you patch it and work around problems, the more expensive maintaining the system will be in the long run. seen a similar problem with Sony 25x ip cameras - and they are notoriously slow at updating legacy...
seen the same - not particularly bugged by it, but nice to fix it with your advice. I wonder what changed - in my case I moved from an OEM version to a volume license kit.
imported is right. if out of warranty, you're safe to fix it yourself and it will be cheaper.
first of all get the exploded designs and support manual. check out the connectors, it is important to locate the problem BEFORE you start ordering parts. you MIGHT not need to replace the whole display...
