Maxwell Power Consumption from Tom's Hardware

I don't see why Tom's made such a big deal out of instantaneous power draw. I'd be curious to see the same measurements done on a Sandy-Bridge or newer Intel processor. If modern PSU's can handle the CPU bouncing between <10 and >150w, why wouldn't they handle a GPU going from 100W to 250W? I...

Will I ever upgrade my 2500k

A lot of us in this boat. I ran my 2500k at 4.1 for a while, but finally played around a little more and got 4.5 stable. But 4.3 on my system is the sweet spot for remaining quiet with reasonable temps. So far I see no reason to upgrade. My GTX570 is getting a bit old though, so I'm hoping...

Kludge Up USB 3.0 Internal Connection???

Do you need all the various card ports? If you primarily use SD, then Anker makes a good little USB 3.0 reader. http://www.ianker.com/product/68UNMCRD-B2U It is much faster and more stable than my old 2.0 reader. If you do need various slots, this might work, but I haven't used this model...

Power button necessary or not?

Through the bios, you can usually assign a keyboard command or mouse click to act as a power on signal. It works well with a PS2 keyboard, but I have had mixed results with USB devices.

Is this fair?? Antec want to replace my HCP1200 with a HCP1000?

I want a Define Mini for my next build, but what really bugs me is the single front USB 3.0 port. There is typically only 1 header on the motherboard for USB 3.0, which supports 2 ports. But won't this second port just be wasted? Many other cases have the same problem but I don't ever see it...
