Ah well the reason I ask is because we currently own that D-Link router. But our connection just drops at random lots of times. Not sure if its the isp or the router itself. Something is odd though, that's one of the reasons I was looking at potential new routers.
Out of curiosity is this Asus router better than this D-Link router?

Well to be honest, if I were to get an AMD card, it would most likely be the Sapphire Radeon 7970 Dual-X as opposed to the Vapor-X at this point in time. You've convinced me not to waste the money on the Vapor-X. Plus the card itself looks hideous compared to the Dual-X :awe:
But, just to be...
RussianSensation, I have a question for you, or any AMD video card user for that matter. Are there any issues with coil whine on your cards? I was reading this thread and just wondered if it was apparent on all 'high end' cards like they say...
That's what I was thinking as well. That if I were to go with AMD, I'd pick the Sapphire 7070 Dual-X like you suggested. Even though the poll is clearly one sided, I still feel like I'm somewhat partial towards Nvidia. That a bad thing? :awe:
It isn't really an issue, I just liked that feature because then the heatsink itself won't hang over the RAM as much. It has the same cooling capabilities as that of the D14 as well and both are equally priced give or take a few dollars.
Why not Powerline rather than a card? I thought the video showed the clear advantage in it over a wireless connection. Plus it just seems more convenient. No drivers are needed unlike a pci-e network card. Is there some disadvantage I'm unaware of?
I chose the i7-3770k because I plan to run 3D CAD software on my computer at home and believe the the hyper-threading will be of use
You're right with my logic about the motherboard, but I already knew that much. It's just hard to choose a board that fits my needs but gets not so great user...
True, but it does appeal a bit more than putting a pci-e network adapter into your computer. At least for me, that is kind of annoying as it takes up space. So, you don't recommend Powerline then?

Would this be something I should look into as well? It seems promising after watching this:

I'm not sure if that WD is...
OK, I think I narrowed down most of this build, here's what I currently got planned:
Motherboard
ASRock Z77 OC Formula
Processor
Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge
Heatsink
Thermalright Silver Arrow
Video Card
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 3GB 384-bit
Amp/DAC/Pre Amplifier (Already Own)...
After looking around and reading a lot of threads, I've narrowed down my decision to the following three video cards to use with my 1440p monitor. I don't plan on going SLI/Crossfire because I don't play graphic intensive games so I think one card should be enough for my everyday needs. Well...
