How Much PSU do I need

I fail to see how OC plays any factor, since he said "OCd @ stock voltage." What I would make sure is to have a better quality PSU, rather than needing something with more maximum power - something Gold standard or better. I haven't looked too much into the setup, but I would think that...

No. This is all kinds of wrong. An SSD is not RAM (random access memory). A RAM disk would be 300-1000% faster than an SSD. Yes it's possible, if you could have your BIOS recognize your RAM Disk and boot off it (calling the boot loader), but you probably don't want to. In my experience...

RAID 0 slower booting than single drive - SSDs

I saw this and I sat here thinking... that's exactly what I have (mobo and CPU) and it's ancient and still live and going strong. Upgrading soon, or next summer (wasn't too impressed with ivy). The culprit could be a number of things: - power supply - south bridge voltage - your cords...

Tweakboy, neither :) You did ask a simple question and I thought that I answered it simply. You won't notice any real difference between the drives and WEI isn't something to base a score on. Who knows what Microsoft is using to come up with that score - more than likely it is some sort...

I'd say to keep things easy on yourself. You're not going to notice much difference in Raid-0, whereas you will notice a bigger difference with the newer controllers out there. If you're not a tweaker or a power user, again, stay away from Raid 0. Raid-0 was really beneficial for HDDs and...

Which folders to move off of SSD?

I'm thinking about getting a small 30GB SSD to use just for temp/scratch space. I never thought about doing that before, but that way your more volatile stuff still has the benefits of an SSD, but won't hurt your main SSDs lifespan. Good food for thought. Also, if you're working on Windows...

What we need to have is a testing standard, provided by an accredited organization. It seems we need to have a large sample result-set for the year that all vendors should use to quote their numbers. I'd like to see something spread as AT does. Something to the tune of 60%uncompressed...
