If you're handy and can find a chimney sweep to inspect your work, you can buy a stainless liner, with insulation for probably around a grand. Having someone else do it is going to be more expensive but has a better chance of making your insurance company happy.
I like the quadrafires but...
Is there a reason you couldn't use scissors or shears? I don't think you'll get accurate cuts in that thickness with an X-Acto but I have been known to be wrong before.
I had a Smith Model 60 in stainless. 5-rounds (based on the J-Frame), exposed hammer, 3" barrel, rubber grips. I LOVED that dang gun. Amazingly accurate for a pocket rocket and even 158gr 357 mag loads weren't bad.
38SPL, puh-leez.
Keep in mind, I'm not recoil sensitive.
I can completely second the recommendation for a Hakko 936! Sure, there are better stations out there but these things are fairly cheap for what you get and there are absolutely TONS of inexpensive, replaceable tips which expand the capability of your soldering station.

I have shot my boss' taurus 9mm full-size. It was OK but waaaaay to big for CCW. He also has a Kimber CDP ultracarry...

I share the previously expressed disdain for Ohio-based drivers. Either they ride your butt as if they've caught on fire and you're their only hope...OR...the just cut you off with no indication of knowledge that the...
It's a shame this thread wasn't about a month earlier. I just gave a coworker an older s754 Athlon 64 2800+ system (ECS mobo, 2gb ram, thermalright copper hs with 92mm fan and an older antec BQE case).
I've got nothing but an old Intel D845GRG mainboard and a coupl'a sticks of PC2100...
