Well I have some more info. running a scandisk on my raid5 array I finally caused a disk to fail. after replacing it with a new one and rebuilding my system apears to be stable again. but its only been a few hours since the rebuild. after i verify its stable i will put my raid 0 back in the...

its defiantly warm but its not burning hot. Yes it does have a fan and its always on. My case has descent airflow so I would hope that would keep it within operation temps. the hardware info i get from the card does not give me temps for the card itself my my harddrives seem to be 36-38C...

I looked at the even log on the card. it normaly reports if there are smart errors. at least it did once. I am not sure how to view the smart log directly tho. any suggestions? This is the smart data i found: Device State Normal Timeout Count 0 Media Error Count 0 SMART Read Error Rate...

Need More power!!

well my first psu was antec truepower 430, i grew out of that to a thermaltake 550 then to an antec truepower 650. after that i was forced to get a generic greenpc 700wt psu from the local pcdepot here in japan. it has been running descently for about 8months. it wasn't cheap either running...

i have gone through 4 psu's in 4yrs all in the 600-800watt range. they all die in about 1yr on my system. well not completly die just cannot continue to support my load without systemhangs, crashes, or just down right won't post anymore. i just had to build a new system cuz my old mb died...

Hardware acceleration on sound cards?

anyone know where i can find a good review comparing current sound cards for vista? i had a turtlebeach ddl that no longer works in vista. I am now using 64bit vista so i need a new soundcard that works with it besides my onboard audio. i have the 790i evga, the onboard is pretty descent...

WTF: Prices at newegg seem to have jumped this week

Did i miss something in the news for pc parts to jump in price. after browsing for system parts for the past few weeks i came to check to see if they went lower and BOY was i SHOCKED!! my A8N32-SLI Deluxe went up nearly 30$ and my opt 165 went up 10$. now thats a huge leap for just 1 week...

Memory latency- waste of money and time.

Wouldn't you still need premium ram to hit the 250-300+ fsb mark that people are doing to o/c there opty's and x2's?

need help finding case to meet my requirements.
