Have you made sure the onboard sound is disabled in BIOS?

Different technology, similar results. For a computer mouse the feel in your hand and the button locations are way more important than laser vs optical.
The temperatures in that table are based on a system with a core i7 2700 which has a TDP of 95 watts and you are comparing it to a core i7 920 which has a TDP of 130 watts.
Not the same beastie.
You are aware that all the temperatures listed in that link are delta over ambient?
For instance you say your Fractal case has a temp of 33C in an ambient of 23C so your delta over ambient is 10C.
Nice stuff, I'm running a stock Phantom 630. I do have a question though, after totally disassembling and modding/painting this case and then reassembling it is it really an NZXT case anymore? Isn't it now really a Tweakin' case made with some NZXT parts?
