Poll: Your preferred gaming view?

First person, pretty much exclusively. I prefer to see derrieres in the real world, not in gaming. Even in Skyrim, I play exclusively first person.

Why Fortnite? Why is it the HOT game at the moment?

I hate third person games too, but they are much better accepted with politicians and helicopter parents. My wife saw on the news that parents are forgoing math tutors and getting their kids Fortnite tutors. Gotta have priorities . . .

The anti-DRM thread

The movement among developers is to make ALL games services, like Fallout 76. We simply aren't going to be getting many more actual offline single player games anymore. Makes it too difficult to fleece the sheep, and old games using mods are simply unwanted competition for the developer's new...

Is the game Stalker ok for someone who is not very good at games?

This is almost exactly what I was going to say, although I remember Clear Sky as more meh than difficult. Mo debinitely harder than the other two though, as well as being buggier, and there’s an excellent mod that fixes the bugs so it’s certainly worth playing all three.

Plus this isn’t even Player v Player, it’s Character v Character, with levels and perk cards. (I am very good at shooting automatic weapons because I found a perk card, but right now I will lose my ability to accurately shoot automatic weapons so that I can have the ability to hack terminals.)...

Sometimes it doesn’t even take running in excess of 60 FPS. I’m currently playing through Skyrim Special Edition and I can’t count the times I’ve lost a big chunk of health from running into a half pound wicker basket. Once I almost killed myself dropping loot because I was overloaded...

I like the way that Trump has forced the lefty loon squad to stop pretending to be anything other than toxic balls of purest hate. I can’t tolerate it more than a couple glimpses a month, but damn it’s entertaining on those occasions.

Well, now we know. Fallout 76 is online only. You CAN play solo, in your own little instance, but it's an online game with dedicated servers which will support the game "for years to come." I assume that means they will release DLC expansions, although it might just be optimism and hype. But...
