PC Game of the Year for 2007

tough call, so many good games have come out. but my vote goes to: CoD4 SP was very well done. harkened back to the glory days of 1&2 for sure. I played STALKER, Bioshock and OB and none of them kept my interest as much as CoD4 save for Portal but I don't count that as a complete game.

don't forget Duke Nukem Forever! my boss said yesterday he saw it on pre-order someplace with a release date of Dec. 8th. that has to be a joke though.

Crysis 8XXX series DX10 Hardware Discussion

C2D 2.4 2g Corsair XMS 8800 gtx (drivers from 9/17, can't remember the vers.) Vista 32bit The first time I played through the demo, it ran pretty slow w/everything at very high. moved shaders and postprocessing down to med. and it ran a bit better but still not great. The real problem...

Call of Duty 4 SP

I read over at VE that the SP portion of COD4 is only about 4 - 6 hrs long. Is this true? If so, that's extremely disappointing. All the other COD games, 1&2, that i've played were all fairly long I thought.

Aspire brand PSU, good or bad?

thanks for all the responses fellas. im not up on all the nuances of psu's so all your jargon is going right over my head. I have a 350w antec right now but just upgraded and figure once I put in a new video card, probably a 6800gt, and factor in oc'ing, that i'll need something more beefy...

Saving VHS tapes to DVD

interesting, I have a TVR400 or something like that and I tried to capture through the camera from my vcr and couldnt get it to work. what did you use to connect the camera to the vcr? I used the black A/V cable that connects to a RCA type jack on the camera, same one I use to go from camera...

IC7 cpu temps

its actually not in a case, all sitting on a desktop. why should I exchange it? thats an interesting article, so the eq software isnt accurate then. it shows the same thing mbm does. bios shows temp as high 50's.

I have a prescott 3.0E running on a plain IC7 and the EQ software shows my cpu temp as around mid 30's C idle but when I go into bios and look at it, it shows it somewhere around high 50's. when I boot, it shows high 50's for a few seconds then goes down to mid 30's. mobo monitor 5 shows the...

DVD Decrypter Errors

I dont know that i'd burn anything where I got errors during decryption but if a coaster is no big deal you can try it and see what happens. have you tried using a diff prog to decrypt? I use DVDshrink 3.1 and havent had any probs so far.
