42" vs 50" plasma

SLI - worth the money?

I don't see the point unless you must have the fastest thing out there regardless of price. I don't really think it is worth it from an upgrade standpoint either. I tend to buy ~$200 video cards and upgrade every 1-2 years. I could go SLI and just buy a second card after about one year...

Resistors on motherboard leaking

I had the same problems with an Abit Slot-A board I used to have (KA7-100 I think??) thought maybe I was the only one. It will definately make me think twice about buying another Abit board since I had only had that one for about a year and a half.

Intel Does it again - First Prescott processors will not be compatible with current motherboards!!

Doesn't really matter to me, I upgrade my motherboard, RAM, and CPU at the same time anyway. I'll be waiting till the price of the Prescotts comes down to ~$200 too...

Can Geforce2 GTS handle BF:1942?

I play BF1942 and UT2K3 with my Geforce 2 GTS, and it only has 32 MB of RAM. I do play at 800X600 with ~medium details, but it is definately playable. I think I get like 40-50 fps in the UT2K3 benchmark with my settings. BF1942 does get slightly choppy at times, but never enough to effect the...

LCD Prices

I would just do some research now and decide what LCD you want and where you want to buy it. Then hold off till your CRT goes, or failure is imminent in the near future to jump on it. Like techfuzz said, the longer you can hold off, the better stuff/price you will be able to get.
