File sharing problem

Seems i can access the desktops networked drive if i manually type it in, but i doesn't show up as a network place. My desktop on the other hand, cannot access the laptop at all. When i view the mshome workgroup it shows laptop, when i click on it i'm told I cannot access it. When i type...

It doesn't work. I still can't access the laptop and the laptop thinks its the only computer on the network.
