Glad to hear it! It's the one I'm planning to get, despite Nvidia doing their best to stop me from bying anything from them apparently.
If it hadn't been for this one game (Assetto Corsa Competizione) that I play a lot then I would have gone for the 6800XT without hesitation. But sadly that...
Hi, I have Steam games installed on 3 separate SSDs. D: (500GB), E: (500GB) and T: (1TB).
T: is the newest. Ever since I started using it as a Steam install disk I have had issues. When I installed and played AC Odyssey I sometimes got errors saying it couldn't read data from the disk. When I...
Message on Hardware Unboxed's YT channel:
--- Nvidia have officially decided to ban us from receiving GeForce Founders Edition GPU review samples . Their reasoning is that we are focusing on rasterization instead of ray tracing. They have said they will revisit this "should your editorial...
Well, at least I got an answer on question 2 from AMD's support.
"Thank you for the email.
No, RX 6800XT can support VSR at 60 or 120Hz only.
Thank you for contacting AMD."
Short but not sweet :grinning:
Now just question 1 remains...
Since I might opt for a 6800XT this time I thought I'd ask a few questions about certain features. I asked something similar in a different thread but I think I was a little bit vague so I'll give it another go here.
Btw, my three 1080p monitors support custom refresh rates in 1Hz steps from 60...
It's not as outrageous as you might think. I'm using strobing (v-sync on) on my monitor to remove blur. So wherever possible I will try to use anywhere from 75 to 120Hz refresh rate (pretty much as high as I can go), because 60Hz is a bit flickery and dark (and laggy). And I need the fps to stay...
Maybe I was a bit unclear. I was only interested in knowing if VSR can be run with custom refresh rates (i.e. not just 60 or 120) on one monitor. You can ignore the triple monitor bit really. :)
Depending on reviews I was considering upgrading my 1080ti to a 6800XT, but there is an issue...
I'm running 3 1080p monitors (see my System Specs) in Nvidia surround mode in some games (simulators) and DSR 2560x1440@75Hz vsynced in some games (that can stay above 75Hz).
I always have...
DDR4 memory scaling from HUB.
TLDW; basically he recommends 2x8GB 3600MHz CL16 for maximum bang for buck and no hassle. It's really only in Hitman 2 where you would see any difference (at 1440p) when manually tuning or using 2x16GB dual ranked RAM.
Btw, in the 5600X review he said something I...
Wow! Really impressed with the performance of Ryzen 5000.
Couple of questions:
1. I'm currently on an 8700K. Will it make sense for me to get a 5600x (or 5800x) if I plan to get a 6800XT or 3080 and game @ 1440p? Would it make more sense to wait for Zen 4 instead?
2. I'm not seeing any 8700K...
