    well, it can't be pci cards because i don't have any installed. I have front usb ports but those plug into the motherboard as far away from the processor as possible. The only fans i have are the intel fan on the processor and the one that comes with the power supply. System runs really cool...

    high pitched noise

    I just built a new computer, and on occasion i have been getting a high pitched noise that lasts for maybe 5-10 seconds. It happens on random, doesn't affect performance, and goes away as fast as it comes. Any ideas? My best guess would be my hard drive, but i guess i could be wrong...

    i spoke to a supervisor at 800-3staples today who changed my order over to the flat screen monitor. She said to write on the rebate that it was a subsitution and it should not be a problem. She gave me her name and extension just in case. Also, its a staples rebate, so i highly doubt there...

They "found one" and will ship it, and gave me the $50 coupons (which had otherwise dissappeared off my order) plus another $15 off. Also, she sold it to me for $149...

    I just called staples and they pricematched it with no problems, didn't factor in shipping at all. I used a $15 off coupon which i didn't have a code for, but they took it with no questions.

    i sell electronics at sears, and i'd recommend the warranty. that is a product replacement warranty for a year past the manufacturers warranty (should be 90 days). if you have problems, u just bring it into any sears stores with ur receipt and sears will give u a replacement that day for free...
