Vista graphics problem

I just upgraded my HTPC from MCE 2005 to Vista Ultimate x64. Motherboard is a Foxconn 6150BK8MC - nForce430, GeForce 6150 onboard graphics, 2GB ram, Athlon64 4000. The install went well except at first boot when Aero was automatically enabled and the display became all garbled up, almost like...

ECS NFORCE3-A motherboard mini review

Power supply is a 4 year old Antec 300W. Everything is plugged in correctly and in working order, voltages are within range, CPU temp is around 35C. I haven't fiddled with the AGP clock, it is defaulted to 66MHz. The 40-pin IDE cable shouldn't matter since it's connected to DVD/CDRW drives, but...

I'm getting a CPU warning message at POST whenever I push over 225MHz, then it resets back to default 200MHz. Where is the setting in the bios to disable the warning? CPU clock: ~225MHz HT: 3x Mem clock: 166MHz

For a 17 year old engine, the 155hp Vulcan engine is extremely reliable. It's the transmission you should watch out for; they're known to go out before 100k miles. The AX4N tranny is quoted to be the best out of the bunch, but there are still some new Taurus out there with the more primative...

Marathon Weekend, which one did you like best?

i went to a Mazda dealer today and they said...

The Ford Taurus had two different engine options. First is the 15 year old 3.0L Vulcan OHV.. 155hp/180tq. Yes, this is the same engine they put in since its inception in 1986. The second engine is the Duratec - 200hp/200tq, which first appeared in 1996.

Who owns a Taurus SHO???

Is there any truth to fords claim?

Well.. you are right. DOHCs puts out more hp and torque throughout the powerband. However, a DOHC V8 will be bigger in mass and size than a SOHC, not to mention they are more complex to design. And what's the biggest enemy of a fast eight cylinder? Weight. Why do you think so many...
