Enermax fan controller

I have an Enermax UC-A5FATR2 fan/temp controller. It has the capacity to monitor six fans and has two temp probes. The readout shows the two temps and two fan speeds. I love how I can watch temps go up and down as I use the computer. I'm not really a control freak, just like to see what's...

Prime95 or ??

I just started o/c my new system and I heard that Prime95 is the best way to stress it to verify that it is stable. I am looking for a quick test that I can run and get a pretty good idea in 10-15 minutes. Would that be Prime95 or something else?

Wurrmm - I too would like to hear of how high of an overclock users of the 8KNXP boards are getting. One guy on Hard forum had all the right parts for a really good overclock, but could not go higher than 220 fsb using the Gigabyte. I would like to get either the Gigabyte or Abit. Right now...

Like a lot of others, I am planning to upgrade to an i875 system. I do have a question about memory speed. The boards are DDR400 (PC3200) and I see that some are going to use up to PC3700 for overclocking. Is this really needed with the synchronous and asynch settings? See the reasoning...

Excelsior - Nice link to all the Canterwoods. Anybody else notice that only Abit and Gigabyte have fans on the NB. Is the lack of a fan going to be a problem for overclocking?

I have considered that the 2 sticks of 512MB would leave more room for expansion, but I would like to know if there is any difference in performance.

I am looking at upgrading to a Canterwood mobo with a 2.8-800 when they are available. I want to know which would be better for the best performance: 2 sticks of 512k of PC3500 or 4 sticks of 256k of PC3500 ?

Which PS is better - Enermax or Antec

The review says there is a 3 pin connector. Is that to control the PSU's fan speed? I assume this means you need a fan controller, like the DigDoc5 or even a small rheostat. Is this correct?

The review was exactly what I was looking for! The conclusions show that the Antec and Enermax were very close in performance. I have found that the Enermax is about $5 to $10 more expensive and the review had it slightly more noisy. The difference is probably not even detectable by most...
