Well it took some finagling, but I managed to get it working. After you hook up the pins you need to go into the BIOS and set the front panel connectors from Auto to Enabled. Then in Windows you need to use the Realtek control panel and check "disable front jack detection". The headphone jack...

Actually, it's the other way around. AGP aperture should be from 1-2x the amount of VRAM on the card. So with an AGP card with 128 MBs of VRAM your aperture should be as close to 2x that as possible. And yes, if you're using PCI-e, you can set the aperture at the minimum. It has no effect.

I have a spare BIOS chip that I'd be willing to send you. It has BIOS v2 on it right now. I don't believe there is anything wrong with it, but I make no guarantees it'll work. I had an issue when I flashed the BIOS to v2. Even tho the flash completed without errors the machine wouldn't POST...

How exactly did you get your Pent D overclocked from 3.06 to 3.81?? I can get my 2.66 D to about 2.9 before it starts crapping out.

I've gotta guess the problem is the crappy voltage regulator. Even at stock speeds I can see the voltage fluctuate periodically, which I've never seen a board do before. Usually core voltage is rock solid and stable. So I'm thinking the overclocking problems are more voltage related than...

OK, long story short, flashed BIOS from version 1.7 to version 2.0, with a PD 805 and 2x 1 GB DDR RAM. After the flash, the system wouldn't start. Did all the usual tricks, nothing worked. I contacted ASRock and they told me to buy a new BIOS chip. I did, and guess what, that didn't work...

No, nothing changed. I followed the CMOS clearing instructions in the manual -- disconnect power, wait 15 seconds, seat jumper, wait 5 seconds, remove jumper. This did nothing. Are you saying I should do it differently than that? Should I disconnect the power and leave the jumper on for 5-10...

HAH, as if I can get that far. Perhaps I should have said the system won't POST. Hit the power button, everything lights up and starts spinning, and that's it. No beeping, no display, no errors, simply nothing.

OK, here's a good one. I've had this board in a spare machine for awhile with a PD 805, 2GBs RAM, and PCI-e 7900GT. Absolutely no problems. Fired it up today, updated Windows, no problems. Updated the BIOS from v1.7 to v2.0... nothing. The flash completed without errors, but now the system won't...
