Tried to clear the CMOS to see if that would do anything, but no joy.
I've gone ahead and ordered a motherboard from Newegg and if that
does not solve the problem, then that sort of narrows things down a
bit (i.e. it's the CPU) and I'll deal with that when the time comes.
Might be asking for...
Greetings,
Ran into a little problem with my system...if you can call not booting up a "little problem".
I leave my system on most of the time and the other day I went to use it and noticed that
the light on my optical Explorer mouse was out. I moved it around thinking my system had...
Thanks for the link to the Advair site, I'd been meaning to send them a "nastygram"
about the $140 inhaler that my wife got a whole 4 doses out of before it brought on
a panic attack and she was told to stop using it.
I'm not going to ask them for a free toothbrush though...
FWIW, I was in the local BB the Wednesday before BF and watched in
amusement and horror as a couple of employees unloaded a shelf of DVD
players....one was standing on the rack, tossing boxes to another guy on
the floor who would catch the boxes and set them on a stack. I didn't see
him drop...
JETninja: That's a good point about the "burn in". I'm taking it easy on my set before I start
playing around in the service menu to attempt a more thorough calibration of my TV.
I cautioned my wife about playing with the TV too much since I have the brightness...
I bought the 56" version of this TV when CC had it on sale for $1299 before Thanksgiving
and it's a really nice set. I debated on getting a widescreen since everyone seems to be
pushing them, but most of my viewing is just cable TV (4:3). I don't watch DVDs very often,
but when I do, I don't...
My wife has been trying different brands of diapers, trying to
find the "perfect" diaper for our 10-week-old daughter. I would
not let her get Pampers because they cost considerably more
than the others. Now I might let her try them....but then if I
do and she likes them, I'll have to buy...
Roll-around tool chests....
Buy #959786 (7 drawer chest) and #959787 (5 drawer base) for $199.95
and get a free 3-drawer chest (#959883)
Buy #965904 (8 drawer chest) and 965905 (5 drawer base) for 299.95
and get a free 3-drawer chest (#965120).
They also have the 13.2 volt cordless drill...
I bought one of these drills a couple of months ago when it was on
sale for $39.99. I was actually hoping to use the new batteries on my
old Craftsman 13.2V drill that I have had for several years now because
the batteries are no longer charging up, but the new batteries are not...
This is certainly a better deal than the Panasonic 53" wide-screen
they have "marked down" from $1099 to $1803.92. I always
thought the idea of a mark down was to lower the price, not raise
it. If it was $1803.92 marked down to $1099, maybe I'd bite...
I've got a Sear LXI/Magnavox 46"...
Pulled the SBLive Value card out and enabled the C-Media on-board sound
and the "audio crossbar" thingie will still not load and I still do not have any
sound coming through the line-in when I run the video-in application...
Next....
Could still be some sort of conflict between AIW and the SIS...
Er, uhm, I am running at 133MHz (18x133MHz=2.394GHz)...
I've spent the day cutting up a tree that fell on my house (causing $25K in damage),
so this situation has not been priority #1, but when I get a chance later on this
evening, I will pull the sblive and uninstall its drivers in safe mode...
Checked and onboard audio is disabled and was disabled when I first powered
up the system after installing all the new stuff. I will check to see if there is a
jumper on the board as well that can be set to disable onboard audio as well
(a more tangible thing than disabling it in th BIOS)...
