AMD 780G or 790GX Chipset

Correct... It's not that Linux "Can't" play it, it's that Sony hasn't granted a "License" for Linux to play it... ;)

Where oh where did all the 790GX boards go?

I find it curious as well... Many review sites announced the release of the 790GX/FX SB750 boards and did quick preliminary reviews promissing followups, etc... Boards showed up in-stock at several etailers and then, just like closing a door, NOTHING... :frown: Even the AnandTech...

Video card quit working halfway through Windows install

When you removed the G'Card did you unplug the system...? That would have re-set the PSU overload breaker... The front power switch wouldn't do that... ;) Just a guess... :) wizzard0003 \\//_

Video card quit working halfway through Windows install

According to the Manual, the best you would have in that system is a 250 watt PSU and it doesn't even list what the outputs are on the individual rails... Dell? OptiPlex? GX270 Systems User's Guide I think the PSU simply shutdown during Windows install because of the overload...

X1950 Pro AGP is coming!

I'm running the Sapphire X1950PRO 512MB I've tried the Cat. 6.12, the Omega (based on Cat. 7.1), and now the Cat. 7.2... With ALL of these drivers, if I installed the software along with them, I would get a "Hang" when Booting up/Shutting down... I am now running JUST the Cat. 7.2...
