what causes HDD LED to stay on constantly?

The only time I had that to happen was when something was writing to the drive. I think it was when I had Office 97 installed and fastfind was doing the writing. wj :cool: :cool:

What's the oldest component in your high-tech system?

What do you clean your screen with?

I used the same thing I used on my reading glasses. Lens cleaner from the Optometrists it says on the bottle for TV and computer screens. wj :cool: :cool:

Why does one of my folders always open every time I boot, and how can I stop it?

My daughter PC started doing the same thing, plus her would pop up the launch internet explorer and connect. The only thing I could figure out was she had downloaded so much beta :| stuff off the net she goofed up something. So I just formated her drive and reinstalled. That was with win98se...

Maxtor 30GB won't work...

If you think it a bad drive just RMA it back to maxtor. Don't call them just do it online. I RMA one back about a month ago, took about two or three min. online then I have a new drive from the day I mail it in 7 days. wj :cool: :cool:

Who are you guys?

I don't know you and you don't know me. But here go's. Was a welder on gas lines for 14 years, then went to college got a AS in Computer Science. Now work as a system operator for a manufacturing company. Build all my own computer and work on every one I know computer. And I'm 44 years old...

Fatal Exception Erron after

I know a guy in another state that has a Epox-MVP3G2 system board. He took out a Asus V3400 video card and replace it with an TNT 2 M64 32Mb card. Now he getting Fatal Exception Erron on boot up. Do you think he has the card install right or is it a driver problem or what. This is an AGP...
