thanks guys... as it turns out, I had gotten that far but was not able to find the offending event. Finally found it, it was the "start navigation" event. Appreciate the help!!

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the clicking sound the speakers make everytime I click the mouse in Internet explorer? It's very bothersome. I went to sounds under control pannel in WinXP to see if I could get it to stop, but could find nothing that dealt with Internet explorer only. I...

P4B266 Bios problem?

Thanks ... new os...newb......:o got it all done now. got all the correct bios files specific to my version of p4266......at least I knew that much. just couldn't get the dos stuff to run. but made the bootable disc as you showed and then it was no problem.......well almost no problem...

when I copy a bios file......such as my current bios, it asks for a name. what extension should it have? .bin or .exe or what? Does it matter? Thanks.....

P4B266 Bios problem?

Insstalled this mobo in a new system build and was trying to make a copy of the current bios version. Am unable to get to a dos prompt though to do it. keep getting "insert valid system disc and hit any key to continue" message. installing winxp, so I don't have any start up discs for that...
